Discover Fairview Wine Farm
The SA Wine Industry celebrate 364 years of winemaking in the most romantic month of the year. We could not have asked for a better time to celebrate Award-Winning South African Wine.
South Africa is the only country in the world that can accurately pinpoint the exact date of origin of its wine industry, due to a diary entry from 2 February 1659.
We invite you to celebrate South Africa’s Wine Birthday month, and we wish to introduce you to some of the amazing wineries situated on the Paarl Wine Route.
We start with the very famous Fairview Wine Farm, founded in 1693. Fairview is a working farm, housing a collection of micro-businesses with the common goal to create artisanal and sustainable produce, with a focus on fine wine and cheese.
Charles Back II, a true icon in the South African wine industry in 2014 received the International Wine Challenge Lifetime Achievement award.
Visiting Fairview Wine Farm should be on everyone’s must-do list and be sure to spend enough time enjoying all the winery has to offer.
