After 13 years The Slow Market Stellenbosch bids a fond farewell to Stellenbosch.
The Master Chef venue at Nederburg Estate in Paarl is the new home for this Saturday morning institution.
The Slowmarket Stellenbosch has become a civic institution and favourite attraction for tourists and locals. The original gourmet food market in Stellenbosch has influenced many small entrepreneurs’ lives and has grown many well loved brands from humble beginnings.
The market has established its new home at the the Nederburg Wine estate in Paarl and the exquisite MasterChef venue is already turning heads. We are gathering a beautiful array of street food cooks, artisans, florists, grocers, jewelers, slow food and locally made products. Come and greet old favourites like Black olive Cape Malay curries, Monsef’s legendary shawarmas, Willem Viljoen aka Boeremusiek RSG amazing sausages and charcuterie. Chef Laudon will be rustling up his famous lamb burgers in their more than generous proportions. There will be new experiences like single origin coffee served with chocolate cups and a little ice cream deli with daring new umami tastes. In the Deli space there will be Corne with her local and imported cheeses then there will be plenty of local Paarl producers with all kinds of wonderful homemade delicacies, cakes, tarts, olives, chill sauces and scrumptious fudges.
The craft and fashion section will be filled with jewelry, designer clothes, South African souvenirs and local design for you, your kids and even your pets.
Join us, we will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 4 December, you will be dancing to live music while the kids are engaged in our glorious new play area. There will be lawn games offered for young and old engage in and play the old fashioned way.
The venue is high ceilinged, well ventilated and the grounds are extensive, perfect for families and friends to socialise safely. All vendors and market staff are fully compliant with covid regulations. Come and make new memories with us, we have moved heaven and earth just to be there for you.

From 11 DECEMBER the market will be open every weekend Saturday and Sunday from 9-3pm
