BEAUTIFUL BABYLONSTOREN
Whatever the season, there is always something happening in Babylonstoren’s garden or something new to discover.
They have recently expanded their kitchen garden to accommodate the growing demand for freshly harvested vegetables for their Farm Fresh boxes and their two restaurants. This one-hectare patch named ‘moestuin’ (kitchen garden) has provided their chefs with a seasonal bounty incorporated into the new winter menu at Babel.
In keeping with the typical Cape Dutch building style of the farm, this new garden, situated next to the Succulent House, is surrounded by a white stonewashed wall. Visitors can now stroll among the four sections of the garden, planted with a variety of seasonal vegetables like asparagus, artichokes, rhubarb, rosemary, cabbage crops, fennel, leeks and herbs like coriander and parsley. In preparation for next summer’s pumpkins, big areas have been prepared with lupin, fava beans, peas, grains and wild mustard.
PLAY GOLF IN PAARL
Test your golfing ability on the 27- hole Paarl Golf Club at Boschenmeer Golf Estate that is centrally situated in the Winelands and have easy access from the N1 freeway. While there enjoy all the other services on offer at the club house. From being pampered in their Spa to having a wood fired pizza or freshly prepared sushi. You are spoiled with choices from their Golfing Goat Restaurant with unbelievable views.
Depending on your golf affiliation there is several packages available. For the month of September, they are preparing the course for their Festival Winelands week in the beginning of October.
The course is ready for play every day from 07h00 till 18h00.
